·         A Tattoo Story

Today it was a tattoo that struck my attention. A girl or if I put it correctly a lady had it on her elbow going all the way to her shoulder.
The tattoo was a huge five pointed red star surrounded with 4-5 small black and red stars. All the stars were entwined together with black ribbons like they were all performing some kind of ribbon acrobatics. It was the biggest tattoo I ever saw on the elbow of a female, but it was beautiful.
I always wanted a tattoo on my body, somewhere near the neck or the shoulder, but thanks to my mom and the so called zamaana, I couldn’t have it. ye zamaana or wo pados wali aunty, both of them are the nuisance of my life. duniya kya kahegi, zamaana kya kahega, pados wali aunty kya sochegi?? Do hell with them! My parents are worried about other people rather than my happiness. I wish I could give it hard on the faces of the zamaana and the pados wali aunty then I will definitely ask them what they have to say about it.

A Girl in the Metro- March 15, 2013

Yesterday while traveling the metro something struck me, a girl was chatting to her mother on whatsapp!!
Well chatting on whatsapp is not weird but talking to ones mother was. I don’t want to call it weird but different. I haven’t seen many girls talking to their mothers and enjoying it. Is it because we are not interested in talking to them or think that they are very old fashioned to understand our thought process?

Well this can be a reason! We are going too fast towards fulfilling our dreams and forgetting about our relations and family. Even the parents do not try to understand their children. Lack of communication, and stubbornness from both the sides evolved in something like a private bubble, a clandestine life where the young generation does not like their parents to interfere.

If the society is becoming modern then what is wrong with our mentalities. Why can’t we keep up being modern still connected to our roots. The parents and the children both have to evolve a flexible relationship instead of becoming too rigid about their choices, likings, customs and traditions.
C’mon mom dads get your glares on and have a day out with your dear kiddos!!!

A Girl in the Metro

Metro, the lifeline of Delhi, the best transit service given to the dilli of dilwalas, is full of wonder. Due to my job I have now become a regular traveler of this wonder bus. Daily, I witness so many different things, people, their clothes, and their shoes, things they chat about and sometimes the way they look at you. I get on the metro from Noida city center, the last point of this transit service in Noida. This is the worst metro station I have ever witness, but people say it is same all over Delhi and Noida.

Well the biggest problem with me is, I can’t keep my eyes with me. They will keep on revolving around, looking people, and noticing things around me. This is where the idea of writing this new blog column jumped into my mind. So, I thought, why not give it a go and start writing something about the things, events and strange people I witness everyday!

So from tomorrow onwards, hold your breath to read the contents witnessed by this girl in the metro!
